We are seeking a skilled Roster Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing staffing rosters in accordance with the needs of Children and Young People.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate staffing rosters in line with funding allocations, employee conditions, and award requirements.
  • Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders regarding roster changes, concerns, and complaints.
  • Manage employee availability and leave calendars in consultation with leaders.
  • Escalate rostering and staff skill gaps, working closely with line managers to identify solutions.
  • Provide administrative support as required to meet customer needs and promote a sustainable workforce.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in high-volume rostering, scheduling, or workforce planning is essential.
  • Previous experience with rostering software systems and MS Teams is desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the SCHADS award, HSE, and workforce management principles is necessary.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within required timeframes.
  • Highly developed interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
