Job Opportunity: Support Worker

We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate individuals to join our team in providing support services to people with disability and/or mental health challenges. Our mission is to empower individuals to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.

About the Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients by providing high-quality support services that cater to their varying needs. This includes personal care, community access, and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing assistance with daily living tasks such as showering, toileting, and hygiene assistance
  • Offering behavioural and mental health support to individuals
  • Accompanying clients on community outings and engaging in social activities
  • Performing light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
  • Manual handling and using equipment such as wheelchairs and hoists

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess relevant qualifications and experience. This includes;

  • Certification in Mental Health/Disability/Community Services or higher
  • Passion for supporting people to reach their goals
  • Compassion for people with disability and/or mental illness
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with people with disability and/or mental health challenges
  • Knowledge of the NDIS and its principles
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
