Perioperative Nursing Specialist

The Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network is seeking a skilled and dedicated Perioperative Nursing Specialist to join our dynamic theatre nursing team. This exciting opportunity will see you provide high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in our theatre settings.
About the Role:
- You will be responsible for providing safe and effective patient care across various areas of the theatre suite, including scrub/scout, recovery/anaesthetics, and admission/discharge settings.
- You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- You will consolidate your skills, build capability through ongoing professional development, and take accountability for your own standards of practice and delegated activities.
- You will bring advanced knowledge and leadership to your practice, supporting safe, effective, and efficient care while mentoring and guiding others in the theatre team.
Requirements:
- Registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holding a current practicing certificate.
- Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.
- Experience in the use of computer packages, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
