We are seeking experienced professionals to join our Perioperative team on a full-time basis. Part-time hours may be considered for strong applicants.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based standards of nursing care. You will supervise, direct and guide nursing team members (Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing) to deliver patient care.
You will also provide education and support to individuals/patients for health recovery, rehabilitation or end-of-life needs. Additionally, you will lead quality improvement and safety initiatives to deliver desired outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
- Act as a role model for Safe Practice
- Deliver high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 3 years' RN experience in Scrub Scout / Perioperative Nursing. You will also need proven perioperative experience in one or more specialties: Neurosurgery, Vascular, Cardio-thoracic, General, Urology, Gynae, Robotics.
Other essential requirements include current Authority to Work in Australia, Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent, and current Registration (no restrictions) with AHPRA. Compliance with ACQSHC National standards is also required.
Additionally, you will need clinical expertise, self-motivation, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a valid NSW Working with Children check for employment. Preferably, you hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards).
