Chaplaincy Support Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Chaplaincy Support Specialist. We are seeking a values-driven and proactive individual who has expertise in recognising and focusing on the spiritual and pastoral needs of others.

The role provides holistic support to both clients and staff, working in partnership with other professional staff to provide care that meets their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

We are currently looking for someone to fill this part-time position located in Southport QLD. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing spiritual and pastoral care, encouraging people to explore their spirituality and move forward in their personal faith journey.

About the Role
  • Spiritual and Pastoral Care: Provides spiritual and pastoral care to individuals, respecting their differing beliefs and practices.
  • Collaboration: Works collaboratively with other professional staff to provide holistic care.
  • Support: Provides support to clients and staff, including facilitating faith-based activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Be registered as a Salvation Army Chaplain through the Territorial Chaplaincy Support Unit (TCSU).
  • Mandatory participation in regular professional pastoral supervision.
  • National police record check.
  • Working With Children Check.
  • Valid and current driver's licence (if required for tool of trade car or pool car access).
  • Attend Christian place of worship.
  • Compulsory Code of Conduct, WHS and Bullying and Harassment training modules are completed and up to date.
  • Willingness to meet vaccination requirements of the role.
