Job Title: Creative Arts Teacher

Role Overview:

The Creative Arts Teacher will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in various creative arts subjects. This is a temporary, part-time position that requires a candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and deliver lessons in Creative Arts, Music, Dance, and Drama to Primary K–6 students.
  • Plan and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote their full potential.
  • Maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
  • Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment.
  • Accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.

Working Conditions:

  • Child-related work requiring a Working With Children Check (WWCC).
