We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic Industrial Division team in NSW, Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who can drive growth initiatives and develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the concrete construction industry.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic growth initiatives aligned with the segments business plan, targeting major projects and opportunities, and providing insights and inputs to develop annual and long-range plans for the T&D business.

Key Responsibilities

\
  • Develop and implement growth strategies to deliver the business objectives;
  • Develop an intimate understanding of the targeted markets, including size, competitors, products (value proposition), terminology, alternative construction methods, key influencers, partner/customers, and channels to market;
  • Identify the segment's 80s influencers, including specifiers, consultants, developers, contractors, industry bodies, and develop relationships through the TM's &/or project engineers;
  • Transition developed growth initiatives into distribution partners where appropriate;
  • Early identification of major projects/opportunities and their key stakeholders, ensuring the segments offer is given viability;
  • Provide insights and inputs to develop annual and long-range plans for the T&D business, including strategic growth initiatives and resourcing to enable delivery of financial targets and growth outcomes as required;

About You

  • Proven experience in selling products, solutions, and services to the concrete construction industry;
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver strategic specification and/or sales objectives;
  • Strong communication, mechanical, and strategic aptitude;
  • Demonstrated ability to create demand through identification and engagement of all key stakeholders in the decision-making process;
  • Strong relationship, commercial acumen, and project management skills;
  • Commitment to driving a safety culture and continuous improvement;
  • Fit with ITW culture and values.

This role is based in NSW, with a territory spanning Metro Sydney to Canberra and some regional travel required.
