Mid-Senior Project Officer Role

This is a full-time position at a leading organisation. As a key team member, you will engage with stakeholders to stimulate the economy and create jobs by attracting and supporting investment in Queensland.

  • Prepare and coordinate input into assessments of commercial and economic merits of private sector investment proposals and their alignment with state development initiatives.

  • Apply business acumen and a strong understanding of economic development and investment drivers to assess applications and identify opportunities.

  • Engage with stakeholders to identify and/or assess investment opportunities, building effective relationships to attract and facilitate high-value investments.

  • Support management in negotiations with key internal and external stakeholders to progress opportunities and increase investment in Queensland.

  • Research and analyse current and emerging economic and industry trends impacting business investment and assess implications for investment opportunities and economic outcomes.

  • Develop briefs, reports, and correspondence in response to investment enquiries and proposals, including the creation of investment business cases.

About You:

  • Demonstrated business acumen and background in project facilitation, with experience in developing business outcomes.

  • Ability to research, analyse, and interpret data, drawing conclusions and making recommendations to decision-makers.

  • Advanced ability to interpret and analyse private sector proposals, identifying opportunities and areas for growth.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven track record of engaging stakeholders effectively at various levels.
