Job Summary:


This is an exciting opportunity to work as a mental health professional in a community-based care setting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing assertive community-based mental health care to consumers of the service.


About the Role:



  • Provide specialist assessment and treatment services to consumers, including triage and assessments, safety planning, and contributing specialist skills and experience to treatment and transfer of care and discharge planning.
  • Promote community awareness in relation to mental health and act as a consultant to other services regarding the support and care of consumers with mental health needs in the community setting.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide effective care in both the community and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities:



  • Provide discipline-specific clinical expertise, support, and clinical care to the team, consumers, their families, and carers, and other services throughout the broader community.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based, trauma-informed assessment, specialist therapies, and treatment interventions for consumers with acute and complex mental health problems.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, consumers' families, and carers to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote recovery and well-being.
  • Maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, meeting difficult and sometimes conflicting objectives or competing priorities.
  • Be accountable for the provision of specialized clinical services and a professional standard of care.

Requirements:



  • AHPRA registration and working with vulnerable people registration required.
  • Experience in mental health, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per annum
