Empower Individuals with Disabilities

We are seeking a compassionate and patient Disability Support Worker to provide personalised care and support to individuals with disabilities. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

Role Description

This is an on-site role in North Brisbane and Deception Bay, Queensland, where you will be responsible for assisting daily living activities, facilitating community participation, implementing individualised support plans, monitoring and safeguarding the well-being of participants, and maintaining open and effective communication with participants, their families, and team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality support services that cater to the unique needs of each participant.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal cares as needed.
  • Facilitate community participation and engagement in activities that promote independence and well-being.
  • Implement and monitor individualised support plans to ensure the best outcomes for participants.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with participants, their families, and team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience as a Support Worker or relevant field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with participants and team members.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of participants.
  • Compassionate and patient approach to empowering individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Relevant certifications or training in Disability Support or similar field.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
