Job Title: Data Tester

FourQuarters Recruitment is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Tester to join our team on a critical data quality project within the Federal Government.

About the Role:

We are looking for an immediately available Data Tester who will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data systems. You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to validate and verify data across various platforms, ensuring it meets business requirements and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough testing of data, including extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) processes, to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and completeness across different systems.
  • Develop, document, and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans for data validation, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all data requirements.
  • Identify, analyse, and document data discrepancies and anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Prepare detailed test reports and present findings to the project team and management, highlighting potential risks, issues, and recommended actions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality assurance processes and methodologies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in data testing and/or data quality.
  • Testing on a cloud platform.
  • Commercial experience with SQL for data validation & testing.
  • Data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Test automation highly regarded - Python / R.
  • Financial Services / Superannuation / Regulatory.
  • Collaborative, strong communication, problem solving.
