Scenic Installation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Exhibition Fabricator to join our team in Northshore, Hamilton.

This is a build-phase role with a short handover into the operational phase. As an Exhibition Fabricator, you will be responsible for installing look & feel elements at the venue and on-site locations.

• Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Look & Feel Coordinator to ensure seamless execution of design concepts.

• Assist Look & Feel Coordinator with workshops bringing in different scenic and props elements.

• Install flooring including carpet, vinyl, and other floor coverings.

• Install signage, props, and furniture.

• Craft scenery from design and construction specifications as directed.

• Responsible for daily maintenance and safe storage of painting and decorative equipment.

• Sewing of fabrics.

• Key Requirements:

• Mix paint to match design specifications.

• Paint, form, and decorate scenery, using designs and renderings as inspiration.

• Research new materials and techniques to fulfill designers' concepts.

• Ensure cleanliness of welfare amenities.

• Label HVK equipment, assets, and set pieces for a smooth rebuild and asset protection.

• Use tools correctly and return them after use to the store area.

• Clean the working area as you complete each section.

• HVK will provide all necessary tools for completing tasks. Personal tools are not required.
