Accountant Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our growing, sustainability-focused business.

This permanent position presents a fantastic opportunity for someone to entrench themselves with a highly innovative employer who provides the support necessary to succeed and grow.

The ideal candidate will have the ambition and capability to evolve into a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role as the business continues to grow.

About the Role

In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of financial accounting and reporting, supported by an in-house Bookkeeper.

This position plays a key part in supporting the organisation's financial performance and strategic decision-making.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage general ledger functions and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Support internal and external audit processes
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial systems and reporting processes
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial tasks
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA qualified
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within the manufacturing sector
  • Demonstrated experience in cost accounting
  • Proficient in MYOB, Excel, and other financial tools
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
