The company is a leading CPA Australia accounting firm based in the Rockingham region of Western Australia. Their team has a wealth of experience in all aspects of Accounting Services, ATO Compliance, Tax Planning, Buying and Selling a Business, Cash flow, Self-Managed Super Funds, Company Secretarial, Estates and Trusts and Succession Planning. The company leverages both experience and technology to provide a high-quality service for their loyal clients. They operate across a number of industries including but not limited to: Sole Traders, Engineering firms, Defence Personal, Tradespeople, Doctor's Surgeries, Restaurants, Petrol Stations including other companies and trusts.

Given recent growth in the business, they are seeking a Senior Accountant who can work independently and compliments their current team.

The Position...

In this position, you will work as part of the team, reporting to the Principal. You will be responsible for the preparation of Financial Statements and Income Tax Returns for all structures, Business Activity Statements, assistance with Tax Planning Estimations, client contact in relation to year-end Annual Compliance Meetings and any relevant Software Training for clients. In addition, you will be required to progress all work to manager review stage and review work of other staff.

The Ideal Candidate...

The ideal candidate will have the following:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a public practice.
  • Degree qualified with either a CPA or CA qualification.
  • Previous client contact would be an advantage.
  • Experience using cloud accounting software packages such as Xero.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Have a positive and professional approach with a strong attention to detail.
  • Well organised and capable of working independently.
  • Ability to think out of the box and be able to learn and grow daily.
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
  • Locally based applicants for the role would be highly regarded and preferred, however, remote applicants (located within Australia) are also invited to apply.
