Mental Health Clinician Position

SA Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join its Eyre and Far North Local Health Network team. This role will provide comprehensive mental health services to the community, working in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions and support.
About the Role
Working as a Psychologist (AHP2), this position will involve designing, implementing, and evaluating mental health services tailored to the needs of consumers. As a vital member of the team, you will provide clinical support and supervision to other psychologists, allied health professionals, and students, and employ a variety of psychological assessments and interventions to support consumers on their mental health journey.
As a Provisional Psychologist (AHP1), you will play a key role in delivering a comprehensive and integrated range of evidence-based, recovery-oriented services within the Eyre and Far North Mental Health service. You will work under a supervision plan approved by the Psychology Board of Australia and receive clinical guidance from a Senior Psychologist, enhancing your knowledge and skills while developing your professional capabilities through continuous learning and experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical assessments and interventions to consumers, including individual and family-focused strategies, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Develop and implement mental health services tailored to the needs of consumers, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Provide clinical supervision and support to other psychologists, allied health professionals, and students, promoting professional growth and development.
• Contribute to the delivery of integrated clinical mental health care across community, acute, and rehabilitation settings, utilising a combination of psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to support consumers on their recovery journey.
• Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices, and contributing to the development of mental health services within the Local Health Network.
Selection Criteria
• General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Clinical endorsement with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or willingness to participate in AHPRA Clinical Psychology Registrar Program.
• Recognised four-year qualification within the Psychology profession and eligibility to hold provisional registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Provisional registration must be worked towards full registration under an arrangement approved by the Board, such as a Clinical Master's degree or a Psychology Internship.
