Workshop Operations Manager Job

We are seeking a skilled Workshop Operations Manager to lead our team in the efficient and safe delivery of all workshop operations.

  • Oversee manufacturing and fabrication projects to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and fit-for-purpose outcomes.
  • Coordinate with the Maintenance Superintendent to schedule and prioritise both manufacturing and service jobs.
  • Monitor workflow and adjust resource allocation to meet deadlines and optimise productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Implement and maintain a strong safety culture, leading by example.
  2. Ensure quality control measures are followed at all stages of production.
  3. Oversee engineering design work, whether internal or through external contractors.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in heavy vehicle mechanics, fabrication/boilermaking, or heavy vehicle body building.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in heavy vehicle manufacturing, assembly, or service operations, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Design Rules, compliance requirements, and heavy vehicle fit-for-purpose standards.
