As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in managing residential life operations, guiding and supporting students while overseeing the wellbeing and conduct of residents.

This exciting opportunity requires an experienced leader passionate about fostering community, developing engaging programs, and handling crises to ensure a positive residential experience.

You will work collaboratively with teams across the university to implement strategies that support students' academic success, wellbeing, and safety. Your oversight of the residential life teams will also involve championing policies, guiding Residential Leaders, and shaping an inclusive, welcoming community that supports both residents and guests.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $117,129 and $127,380 per annum, including a base salary of approximately $98,976 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage residential life operations, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for students.
  • Guide and support students, overseeing their wellbeing and conduct.
  • Foster community engagement and develop innovative programs to enhance the student experience.
  • Collaborate with university teams to implement strategies promoting academic success, wellbeing, and safety.
  • Oversight of residential life teams, championing policies and guiding Residential Leaders.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree with extensive management experience in a technical or administrative field.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, motivating others and leading a team.
  • High-level communication, consultation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience dealing with serious or emergency situations.
  • Proven commitment to customer service, with a focus on innovative solutions.
