The Magistrates' Court of Victoria is a jurisdiction within the statutory authority, providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts.
Every year, the Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases at 51 venues, accounting for approximately 90% of all cases brought before Victorian courts.
Role Overview
This position involves supervising and supporting a team including Koori Court Officers/Koori Community Engagement Officers and Koori Court Elders and Respected Persons. It plays a crucial role in developing, implementing, and monitoring the Koori Courts across the State of Victoria.
About You
This is a Designated position according to Court Services Victoria's Designated Positions Policy. Only Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are eligible to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a team of Koori Court Officers/Koori Community Engagement Officers and Koori Court Elders and Respected Persons.
- Contribute to the effective development, implementation, and monitoring of the Koori Courts.
