The role of an Official Visitor is to monitor the conditions and treatment of inmates in custodial centres throughout New South Wales (NSW).

">About the Role
  • Responsible for resolving enquiries and complaints made by inmates.

To be successful, applicants will need to have report writing skills, computer skills, and access to the internet and email. They must also be able to travel to attend training or corporate activities when required.

Applicants are encouraged to apply from a variety of backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, women, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular visits to custodial centres to monitor the conditions and treatment of inmates.
