Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineering Technologist to join our team at Stantec Consulting International Ltd. This role will be responsible for completing assigned tasks, including design changes, site layouts, dimension control plans, redlining, plotting, and drafting.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of CAD Standards, software programs like AutoCAD or Revit, Bluebeam, and Navisworks, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preliminary engineering calculations and develop preliminary designs.
  • Revises drawings, copies existing drawings, and completes simple calculations.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineers and Project Managers to assist in planning, design, CAD drafting, and preparation of construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates.
  • May perform field surveys for drawing development, site reviews, and record drawings.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members and become familiar with Stantec standards.

Qualifications:

  • A technical degree, diploma, or certificate in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field.
