The Flinders and Upper North Local Health Network invites applications for a challenging role of Clinical Senior Occupational Therapist/Occupational Therapist in our dynamic team. As an accomplished clinician, you will deliver top-tier services and provide inspiring clinical and professional leadership to allied health professionals across the region.

About the Role:

  • Job Description: The Clinical Senior Occupational Therapist (AHP3) will drive improvements in service quality, safety, and community-focused distribution, collaborating with allied health staff, managers, and key stakeholders to enhance models of care and workforce development initiatives.
  • Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality services tailored to the needs of the local community, manage complex responsibilities, and offer strategic advice to management on service development and practice redesign.
  • Location: Port Augusta and Whyalla, with regular outreach clinics held in Roxby Downs, Quorn, Hawker, Maree, and Leigh Creek.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Practice: Develop generalist and specialist knowledge to deliver comprehensive and integrated services tailored to client needs.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide clinical supervision to less experienced allied health professionals, assistants, and students, and collaborate with health professionals and service providers from various sectors.
  • Professional Development: Apply a range of approaches, including preventative care, early intervention, and therapeutic treatment, to ensure optimal outcomes for the community.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Must hold a recognised qualification within the Occupational Therapy profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association.
  • Experience: Bring extensive knowledge as a Rural Generalist or within a specific discipline, providing complex clinical and consultancy services across the region.
