About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Evolve Scientific. As a key member of our emissions modelling team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing greenhouse gas emission models for the Queensland Government.

Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and deliver high-quality emissions models that inform policy decisions. This will involve working closely with our scientific team to analyse data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

  • Develop and maintain emissions models using advanced statistical techniques and programming languages like R or Python.
  • Collaborate with the scientific team to analyse data, identify trends, and provide recommendations for policy decisions.
  • Provide technical expertise to support the development of greenhouse gas emission models and tools.
  • Communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders through clear, concise reports and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as data/computer science or environmental science.
  • Extensive knowledge of national greenhouse gas emissions inventory and emissions modelling techniques.
  • Proficiency in R or Python and experience with data analysis and statistical modelling.
  • Experience with Azure cloud and emissions modelling tools.
