Job Title: Interpreter Translator

We are seeking a professional interpreter translator to join our team of freelance linguists.

  • Face-to-Face Interpreters
  • Telephone Interpreters
  • Video Interpreters
  • Translators
About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting and translating languages for various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation and other public and private organisations. They will work on a self-employed basis, providing services as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpreting between languages in person, over the phone or via video conferencing
  • Translating written documents from one language to another
  • Liaising with clients and colleagues to ensure accurate communication
  • Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages or equivalent qualification
  • Fluent English language skills and proficiency in at least one other language
  • Experience working as an interpreter or translator, preferably in a similar setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
