Job Title: Managing Consultant – Contaminated Land

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Managing Consultant to join our Contaminated Land team in Newcastle East. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading fieldwork programs, supervising subcontractors and ERM personnel, and preparing complex technical reports.

About the Role:
  • Lead fieldwork programs, including subcontractors and ERM personnel, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Undertake environmental assessments and remediation works, collecting field data and preparing reports.
  • Prepare or provide inputs into complex technical reports, adhering to relevant guidelines and legislation.
  • Manage electronic data, produce borelogs and summary tables, and assist with client proposal preparation.
  • Support project managers in planning and delivering field programs and/or budget/task management.
Requirements:
  • 5-8 years' experience in contaminated site management consulting, with strong field work and project management skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
  • Leadership and coordination of field programs, mentoring junior colleagues, and supervising subcontractors.
  • Proven report writing skills, including engagement in the Certified Environmental Practitioner Scheme or professional industry bodies.
  • Competency in preliminary and detailed site investigation and sampling techniques, including data collection and working knowledge of the ASC NEPM.
  • Project management experience, including proposal and project budget development, client and external stakeholder engagement, and task allocation.
  • Willingness to travel and authorized to work full-time in Australia.
