We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workers Compensation and Wellbeing Advisor to join our team at Boral Constr Mat Limited. As a key member of our Division, you will play a critical role in the efficient and effective management of workers compensation claims and injury management for all business units in SA.
Key Responsibilities- Claims Management: Identify and implement strategies to reduce the cost of workers compensation risk to Boral by managing a portfolio of active claims, providing a high level of strategic advice to the business in understanding and managing work-related injuries.
- Participation in Claim Review Meetings: Participate in claim review meetings both internally and with external claims managers to ensure effective claim management and resolution.
- Return to Work Planning: Develop and implement Return to Work (RTW) plans in consultation with relevant stakeholders to ensure safe and durable return to work outcomes.
- Case Management: Maintain and manage confidential case notes in accordance with relevant legislation and privacy principles.
- Pre-Employment Medical Assessments: Assist with the implementation of Boral's pre-employment medical assessment process to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Self-Insurance Licence Requirements: Assist in ensuring Boral meets requirements for its SA workers compensation self-insurance licence.
- Litigated Claims Management: Oversee the management of litigated claims in consultation with Claims Manager and Head of Workers Compensation & Wellbeing.
- Early Intervention and Rehabilitation: Develop processes to improve the way Boral manages early intervention and rehabilitation to ensure safe and durable return to work outcomes.
- Allied Health Qualification: An Allied Health Qualification and relevant SA Accredited Return to Work Coordinator.
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment: Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
- Claims Management Experience: Demonstrated proven ability and experience in a Claims Management, Injury Management or Rehabilitation Role.
- Workers Compensation Legislation: Extensive knowledge and ability in the application of relevant Workers Compensation Legislation for SA, ideally in a self-insured environment.
- Claims Management Experience: Exposure to the application of effective claims & injury management.
- Litigated Claims Management: Exposure and experience in managing litigated claims.
