Sydney Workers Compensation and Wellbeing Advisor

Key Responsibilities
The Workers Compensation and Wellbeing Advisor will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of claims and injury management for all Boral business units in SA. This includes providing strategic advice to the business on understanding and managing work-related injuries, participating in claim review meetings, and developing and implementing Return to Work (RTW) plans.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage a portfolio of active claims to reduce the cost of workers compensation risk to Boral
- Provide high-level strategic advice to the business on understanding and managing work-related injuries
- Participate in claim review meetings and develop and implement RTW plans
- Maintain and manage confidential case notes in accordance with relevant legislation and privacy principles
- Assist with the implementation of Boral's pre-employment medical assessment process
- Ensure Boral meets its SA workers compensation self-insurance licence requirements
- Oversee the management of litigated claims in consultation with the Claims Manager and Head of Workers Compensation & Wellbeing
Requirements
- Allied Health Qualification and relevant SA Accredited Return to Work Co-ordinator
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment
- Demonstrated proven ability and experience in a Claims Management, Injury Management or Rehabilitation Role
- Extensive knowledge and ability in the application of relevant Workers Compensation Legislation for SA, ideally in a self-insured environment
- Exposure to the application of effective claims & injury management
- Exposure and experience in managing litigated claims
