About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at ALSTOM Gruppe. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians to deliver planned and corrective maintenance activities across our Sydney Light Rail Fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of technicians to ensure efficient utilisation of staff and resources to achieve contractual targets and targets set by the Fleet Manager and Project Director.
  • Ensure that Occupational Health and Safety and quality procedures are developed, maintained and adhered to at all times.
  • Oversee the in-depth fault finding, servicing and repair of the LRVs (Light Rail Vehicles).
  • Train and mentor your team to ensure they have the right tools, equipment and competency required to perform the work.
  • Lead process improvements and new ways of working within the depot.
  • Drive efficiency within the team to ensure the improvement of availability and fleet performance.

About You:

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology or Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a high performing team.
  • Previous experience working within maintenance of rolling stock preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Good computer skills, in particular MS Office and SAP/GSI.
  • Commercially minded and customer focused.
