About The Business Unit
">The Victorian road safety strategy aims to halve road deaths by 2030 and eliminate death from our roads by 2050. The strategy seeks to reduce the incidence of serious injury resulting from road crashes.

">The Road Safety business unit manages Victoria's road safety camera network and represents the Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria's road safety partnership. We contribute to this partnership in the operation of road safety cameras, and policy and strategic directions of the broader road safety enforcement.

">We are accountable to the Minister for Police and the Office of the Road Safety Camera Commissioner.
">About The Job
">The purpose of this role is to assist the projects team in delivering the program or work, procurement, and delivery of large and small road safety camera projects.
">About Your Duties
">- Monitor and report on project progress and expenditure, and report to key stakeholders on overall project performance.
- Identify emerging pressures and possible issues, and assist the senior project manager with risk management strategies to address them.
- Provide timely advice and develop open and effective communication strategies, including the collection of complex, contentious, or sensitive information on matters of staff or business.
About You
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- Demonstrated experience in delivering project artefacts for technical infrastructure projects, within a road safety or similar environment.
- Project coordination skills in the successful delivery of complex projects, in a technical and outsourced environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of governance reporting, management briefs, and other project-based deliverables in government or similar environments.
- Experience in applying structured project management methods.

">An appropriate tertiary qualification is desirable, as is relevant project management experience.
