About the Role

Gorilla Jobs is seeking a dedicated Commercial Litigator to join our team in Brisbane or Gold Coast. As a key member of our litigation team, you will handle a broad range of commercial litigation cases, including:

  • Insolvency and Bankruptcy
  • Corporate disputes
  • Building & Construction (QBCC), representing builders and homeowners
  • Defamation
  • Contractual and partnership disputes
  • Body Corporate disputes
  • Insurance disputes
  • Employment disputes
  • Wills & Estates litigation

There is also the option to engage in personal injury cases, including motor accidents, work cover, public liability, historical abuse, and TPD claims, though this is not a requirement.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Drafting demand letters
  • Preparing court documents
  • Representing clients in court and QCAT
  • Managing both plaintiff and defendant matters

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years PAE in commercial litigation
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse caseload independently
  • Excellent drafting and court appearance skills
  • Experience in handling a wide range of litigation matters
  • Willingness to work from either Brisbane or Gold Coast office, with the potential to expand the Gold Coast litigation team
  • Valid practicing certificate for Queensland
