Team Manager Position

The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating a team of cleaners to provide quality cleaning services. They will work closely with other staff members and ensure that the cleaning team has the necessary training and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Train, mentor and supervise cleaning staff at the site.
  • Maintain a network of employees and suppliers to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Identify problem areas affecting their area of responsibility and develop strategies to address these issues.
  • Participate as an active member of the cleaning services team and lead/manage personnel.
  • Oversee work order requests, supply ordering, labour scheduling, and implementing cost savings measures.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance and WHS compliance.
  • Manage chemical stock levels, equipment, and machinery operations.
  • Complete regular audits across the site in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and continually build on client relationships.
  • Monitor and report on service and compliance status and issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience managing cleaning staff in the commercial cleaning industry
- Demonstrated management experience, managing, and supporting a team
- Ability to lead in a culturally and linguistically diverse environment
- Excellent communication, organisational & prioritisation skills with a strong focus on time management and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders in a busy environment
- Able to use own initiative and handle multiple tasks in a high-paced environment
- Rostering skills, including managing shift changes
- Exceptional understanding of the cleaning industry and processes
- Quick and logical problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer skills
- Valid police check
- Experience in technical equipment cleaning as found in a Warehouse Distribution Centre
