Job Title: Foundry Data Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Foundry Data Analyst to join our team at the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO).

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for extracting value from data through problem-solving and delivering custom tools, integrations, applications, and visualisations for our data and analytics platform, largely based on Palantir Foundry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Extracting value from data through problem-solving
  • Delivering custom tools, integrations, applications, and visualisations for our data and analytics platform
  • Using specialised techniques and tools to analyse data to discover meaningful patterns or knowledge of relevance to intelligence or administrative decision-making
  • Developing solutions and outputs in a maintainable and sustainable manner in accordance with organisational standards and industry best practice while maintaining the security of systems
  • Working in a diverse team environment, sharing outcomes and experience with others to support development and growth
  • Developing custom no-code, low-code, or custom-coded tools, dashboards, and visualisations within the analytic platform, and deploying them corporately for end users
  • Ensuring that all development is in line with standard engineering and technical approaches employed by the organisation, and that risks associated with deployment are adequately understood and documented
  • Using knowledge of data analysis or data science methodologies, in combination with visualisation, dashboarding, and/or application development to deliver tailored solutions to technical, analytical, and operational problems
Requirements
  • Assessed as suitable to hold and maintain a TOP SECRET-Privileged Access security clearance
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • The ability to provide user-facing visualisations, no-code/low-code/full-code applications, and data workbench tools
  • A demonstrated ability to develop technical documentation and track work in collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA
  • Willingness to apply existing data analyst skills within Palantir Foundry and develop expertise in the platform
