Primary Care Physician Opportunity

Primary care medical professionals are in high demand, and this role presents a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Defence members.
We're seeking an experienced Medical Practitioner to join our team as a Primary Care Physician. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering primary medical care to patients.
Main Responsibilities:
- To conduct thorough assessments of Defence personnel to determine their fitness for duty and provide comprehensive care that supports their health and wellbeing pre and post deployments.
- To collaborate with other healthcare professionals towards shared goals, including assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty and providing care that supports their health and wellbeing.
- To provide expert medical advice to senior officers and commanders on matters related to the health and wellbeing of Defence personnel.
Requirements:
- A current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner with the relevant regulatory body.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) OR Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) OR Vocational Registration.
- Minimum of 2 years full-time post graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA regulations.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
