Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), ensuring the successful and timely delivery of all project deliverables across commercial, financial, human resources, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Manage the project management, commercial, financial, engineering, procurement, and manufacturing departments.
  • Commercial Management: Manage project interfaces and commercial matters of the Rolling Stock Subcontract and Joint Venture.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to document project scope, deliverables, goals, risks, success measures, and estimated resources needed.
  • Contract Management: Ensure the project remains within the contractual scope while meeting budgetary, scheduling milestones, and quality requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and direct project functions managers as per agreed actions with project directors of Head Contractor and Customer.
  • Contract Variations: Develop contract variations for the project in collaboration with all other functions, subcontractors, and partners.
  • Financial Management: Prepare and submit project payment claims, including bonding arrangements, insurances, and supporting documents.
  • Risk Management: Review, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks for the project.
  • Reporting: Provide project status reports and updates as per contractual and internal requirements.
  • Progress Reporting: Prepare, review, and finalize the project progress reports to external and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, or Science.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a project manager role in any of the project functions: Project, Technical, Quality, or Manufacturing.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in project management and complex projects in the transportation industry.
  • Language Skills: Proficient in Korean, both spoken and written.
  • Negotiation Skills: Experience in negotiating contracts with customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Personal Qualities: Highly reliable, customer-focused, team-oriented, accountable, and results-driven.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to work independently to prioritize demands and handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Business Acumen: Understanding of interdependencies between project management, technology, operations, and business needs.
