Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our workshop team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overhaul, test, and certify air brake components and bogie assemblies used in diesel-electric locomotives and freight wagons.
  • Perform detailed mechanical fitting, structural repairs, and maintenance.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of wagons on-site or within workshop facilities.
  • Perform component change-outs and warranty repairs.
  • Carry out brake testing, inspections, and examinations of wagons.
  • Undertake structural body repairs and minor fabrication tasks.
  • Operate hand and power tools, fixed and mobile plant as required.
  • Complete all required documentation, including quality and production reports.
