About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at dnata catering. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our airline customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of international hot and cold meals in commercial quantities for our airline customers.
  • Stock Control: Manage inventory levels and minimize food waste to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment at all times, adhering to strict food safety and quality standards.
  • Menu Compliance: Ensure that all meals are prepared in accordance with menu specifications and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Culinary Qualifications: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher qualifications, or equivalent level of experience.
  • Passion for Quality: Demonstrate a passion for delivering high-quality food to our customers.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a 7-day rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in meal preparation.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, supporting colleagues to achieve kitchen goals.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment, preferably in a similar role.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a clear National Police Check.
