National Occupational Therapy is committed to delivering high-quality services to clients of all ages and abilities. We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team and contribute to this goal.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work in an environment that fosters the advancement of clinical skills through a robust clinical support structure. You will be responsible for providing community, clinic, and telehealth-based services to NDIS participants, supported by a Multi-Disciplinary Team.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building relationships with participants and key stakeholders
  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
  • Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans that incorporate function-based strategies
  • Providing training and education to stakeholders
  • Reviewing and reducing restrictive practices according to NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission guidelines

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working with the NDIS, endorsed against the PBS Capability Framework, and evidence of suitability from the NDIS Commission
  • Minimum 1 year's experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, with demonstrated experience of conducting FBAs, writing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans, and working with Restrictive Practices
  • A relevant Bachelor's Degree, such as Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy
  • A learning mindset and commitment to continuous professional development
  • Experience supervising or coaching others or willingness to develop clinical leadership skills
