Job Title: Nurse Unit Manager

A dynamic and collaborative leader is required to promote and evaluate the delivery of excellent patient care and provide clinical leadership, operational management, and strategic direction for staff. This role ensures the delivery of a cost-effective service with a focus on nursing excellence.

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a NUM/ANUM or senior registered nurse, possessing high standard clinical nursing leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. They will be responsible for coordinating patient flow, bed management, and effective workforce allocation within the unit.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate nursing services
  • Manage emergencies and crisis situations
  • Recruit, retain, and develop staff members
  • Manage finances and facilitate team collaboration

The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management and prioritization skills, a highly motivated and positive outlook, good communication skills, and a strong commitment to professional development.

Key Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse Division 1 qualification
  • Experience in subacute or acute nursing
  • Clinical and/or leadership experience
  • Postgraduate studies in gerontology and/or leadership (desirable)
