About the Role

As a Senior Business Development Manager at ANZ, you will play a key role in helping to proactively manage and grow a portfolio of customers through client acquisition, cross-sell, referrals, and ongoing relationship management.

You will be responsible for building customer engagement with existing small business customers primarily within your area and providing tailored solutions and recommendations to support business growth and development.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include participating in high volume inbound and structured leads-based outbound calling, providing high-quality customer service to a wide and diverse range of customers in a team-based managed portfolio, and contributing to a high-performing team culture and environment based on high collaboration and rapid customer solutioning.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring a strong understanding of relationship management, portfolio management, customer solutioning, credit assessment and management, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in high volume inbound and structured leads-based outbound calling
  • Provide high-quality customer service to a wide and diverse range of customers in a team-based managed portfolio
  • Retail and grow existing customers
  • Understand customer ambitions and help them realize their business growth and development goals
  • Contribute to a high-performing team culture and environment based on high collaboration and rapid customer solutioning
  • Meet assigned performance targets across the balanced scorecard

  • Relationship Management: Building, maintaining, and influencing relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Portfolio Management: The selection, prioritization, and management of a portfolio of work and/or customers in line with its strategic objectives and capacity to deliver
  • Customer Solutioning: Supporting customers by understanding their needs and informing them about relevant products or services
  • Credit Assessment and Management: Assessing, advising, monitoring, and/or approving a customer's creditworthiness and suitable credit structuring options
  • Data Analysis: Collecting, profiling, and analyzing data to translate into meaningful insights to inform business decisions and deliver customer solutions
