Position Overview:

The John L Grove Rehabilitation Unit is seeking qualified Registered Nurses for its specialized 20-bed rehabilitation facility. This unit prioritizes the social model of care, focusing on helping patients transition back to their pre-illness lifestyles or alternative living arrangements.

Team Collaboration:

The multidisciplinary rehabilitation team (MDT) at John L Grove comprises Registered and Enrolled Nurses, operational staff, allied health professionals, a pharmacist, and a medical registrar. The medical care of patients is overseen by a Rehabilitation physician who guides the team in delivering comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance health outcomes by providing safe, quality, and clinically appropriate nursing care in collaboration with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Appointment Details:

This role offers multiple fixed-term positions, both full-time and part-time, with flexible shift arrangements. The positions involve working up to 76 hours per fortnight.

Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $75,902 - $102,908 pro rata per annum, with an additional 11.5% superannuation contribution. Eligible candidates may also access salary packaging benefits, including living expenses and meal entertainment allowances.

Professional Development:

Additional allowances may be available, including a Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum and a Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualifications.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse. It is essential that all registrations and licenses remain current throughout employment.
