Role Overview
This is a permanent part-time opportunity as an Aged Care Worker in Alexandra Hills. We offer guaranteed hours close to home, with a salary of $31.24 per hour + Super + Paid KM's + Phone Allowance.
Responsibilities
- Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry services, to enable our customers to live safely and comfortably in their own homes.
- Assist customers with meal preparation and shopping, promoting healthy eating habits and independence.
- Offer social support and transport to lifestyle activities, enhancing our customers' mental and emotional well-being.
- Deliver personal care services, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management, ensuring our customers receive the care they need.
- Provide respite and emotional support to our customers, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
- Transport customers to appointments and provide complex care for those requiring high-level support, such as dementia patients.
Requirements
- Certificate III or above in Aged Care or Individual Support, Disability, or Nursing.
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar role, with expertise in personal care, manual handling, hoist training, and medication management.
- A genuine passion for assisting our aged community, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.
- A current P1 class or above Australian Driver's License and a registered vehicle, as travel is a significant aspect of this role.
- The ability to remain calm and composed, even in challenging situations, prioritizing customer satisfaction and well-being.
- A willingness to work independently and think critically, solving everyday problems and seeking guidance when needed.
