We are seeking a skilled HSEQ professional to fill the role of Health, Safety and Environmental Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing BGIS's health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) functions, ensuring compliance with statutory and contractual obligations.

This involves maintaining our systems and processes to:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HSEQ matters
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is up-to-date and compliant
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement new policies and procedures as required
  • Coordinate training and awareness programs for staff

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HSEQ management, including experience with auditing and compliance. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the development and implementation of HSEQ policies and procedures
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and support to staff on HSEQ matters
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in WHS or similar qualification
  • At least 1 year's experience in an HSEQ coordinator role or similar
  • Strong knowledge of HSEQ management systems and standards, including AS/NZS 4801 and AS/NZS ISO 14001
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
