City Amenity Manager
About the Role:This is an opportunity to lead a portfolio that shapes the daily experience of residents, businesses, and visitors in Melbourne's most vibrant municipalities.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee civil maintenance services including roads, footpaths, signage, and drainage.
- Manage cleansing operations including central business districts, shopping centers, graffiti removal, and CCTV camera programs.
- Manage building maintenance of owned or managed buildings.
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead fleet management including mechanical workshops and public lighting maintenance.
- Manage works center operations.
- Oversee cemetery operations and fulfill secretary responsibilities.
- Build a high-performing team culture aligned with Council values of Respect, Courage, and Integrity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in cleansing management or civil infrastructure maintenance.
- Strong contract management skills and financial acumen.
- Proven ability to lead operational teams and deliver high-quality public services.
- A collaborative communicator with a focus on innovation and community outcomes.
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline is highly desirable.
