Senior Auto Electrician Position

Our organisation seeks to engage a skilled Auto Electrician to join our operations in Africa. As an experienced professional, you will play a pivotal role in training and developing local workers through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing scheduled servicing of mobile equipment safely and adhering to procedures, regulations, and service sheets. Your expertise will be utilised to minimise machinery downtime, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out routine maintenance tasks on underground mobile equipment
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in workshops and work areas
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Foreman to address equipment faults
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and proactive safety practices
- Knowledge of Sandvik U/G Development/Production Drills and Loaders
- Experience with Caterpillar Underground Loaders
- Proficiency in remote control systems (RCT or Sandvik)
- Ability to train less qualified tradespeople in high productivity environments
- Minimum 5 years post-apprenticeship experience in surface or underground mining with large mobile equipment
