The Yilgarn region has a long history of iron ore mining and is located in the Shires or Yilgarn and Menzies with ore being railed to Esperance Port for export.
The productive mining areas are located on the land of the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title Group.Located in the Shire of Yilgarn, Western Australia, 54 km north-northeast of the town of Southern Cross, on a14/7 FIFO roster, you will thrive on meeting all goals and challenges, and act with fairness and integrity in all that you do.In this role, you will:Operating machinery efficiently, safely, and competently to ensure maximum outputComplying with Thiess's policies and proceduresResponding to instructions from Mining SupervisorEffectively positioning machinery to allow for efficient loadingSetting and maintain high housekeeping standardsCarrying out pre-start checksAbout youProven experience in the maintenance of Haul trucks and associated plant equipment in a mining environmentCAT and Komatsu experience highly desirable.Valid Drivers LicenceCurrent Standard 11What Thiess can do for youPermanent full-time positionsFull camp facilities providedThiess' commitment to training & developmentSalary sacrifice options - Flights & novated leasingRange of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.About usWe partner with our clients to deliver excellence in open cut and underground mining in Australia, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
