About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Handyperson to join our team at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley. As a Handyperson, you will be responsible for maintaining the building, plant, equipment, fixtures and fittings around the resort. This is a permanent full-time position with set hours and a great team to work with.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the resort's facilities and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and ensure the resort's appearance is maintained
  • Assist with hotel maintenance projects as required
  • Work collaboratively with the Assistant Chief Engineer and other team members to achieve resort goals
Requirements
  • Experience as a handyperson or in a similar role
  • Highly advantageous - Consistent professional history of working in a hotel/resort environment or similar environments
  • Is computer literate as will need to use our Preventative Maintenance Management System online
  • Ability to communicate with people across all departments both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain high and consistent standards
  • Excellent organisational skills and grooming standards
  • Availability to work a 7-day roster which includes some evenings, weekends and public holidays & late finishes (7:00pm)
  • A valid NSW driver's license with an unblemished driving record to operate hotel vehicles
  • Full Australian working rights (no sponsorships will be offered)
  • Ensuring that all relevant laws and regulations are upheld and Work Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
