We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Wellness Coordinator to join our team at DRD Group.
As a Health and Wellness Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement injury management and return-to-work strategies to minimize downtime and promote employee recovery.
- Conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents and injuries, providing expert advice on corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Review and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Deliver engaging and informative toolbox talks and safety meetings to promote a culture of safety and wellbeing.
- Perform regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement controls.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety data sheets and training records.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training on workplace health and safety strategies and activities.
- Organize and facilitate safety training sessions, including manual handling, fire training, spill training, and emergency drills.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive training matrix to ensure employees receive regular training and development opportunities.
- Provide mental health support and referrals to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Ensure first aid kits and supplies are maintained and readily available.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or safety-related field.
- Registration with a national board for a relevant nursing board.
- BLS certification; ACLS/ATLS certification would be advantageous.
