About the RoleWe are seeking a Disability Support Worker to join our team in Lilydale, VIC. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the unique needs and preferences of our clients
- Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
- Accompany clients to social events, appointments, and activities that promote their independence and well-being
- Encourage and support clients to make informed decisions about their lives
- Administer medication and provide first aid as needed
- A passion for working with people with disabilities and a commitment to their empowerment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and participate in ongoing training
