About Us:

Black Star Pastry is a thriving business with a purpose-built Production Kitchen in Alexandria. We're seeking a talented General Manager to drive our business through an exciting time of change and growth in the Sydney market.

About The Role:

As a key member of our Leadership team, you'll collaborate closely with our Managing Director to inspire, innovate, and pivot to ensure a profitable business that delivers on its unique customer promise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Continuing to grow the reach and depth of the BSP business.
  • Continuing to grow the overall profitability of the BSP business.
  • Continuing to grow the strength of the BSP brand.
  • Continuing to grow and develop the customer offerings for BSP.
  • Ensuring the ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of the BSP operations.
  • Ensuring appropriate risk management systems and processes are in place.
  • Ensuring the individual businesses are sustainable.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a Leadership role, ideally in a Food Production or Retail landscape.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality control that does not compromise efficiencies.
  • Pride in our brand and workplace, and in the understanding that your role has an impact on the success of our business.
  • Curiosity to build, maintain, and contribute toward healthy teamwork and collaborative working relationships.
  • Ability to commit to a 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover.
  • Exceptional communication skills described as clear, professional, authentic, and concise.
