Our expertise spans the Water, Bridges, Transport, Underground, Energy, and Remediation industry sectors. We design and deliver projects that include dams, bridges, tunnels, water and wastewater treatment process facilities, rail infrastructure, mining infrastructure, electrical substations, marine works, and pipeline rehabilitation.

Project Overview

Abergeldie is partnering with Sydney Water to deliver the Castle Hill Water Resource Recovery Facility Compliance Project. This upgrade is part of a larger initiative to connect three treatment plants in Sydney's North-West, forming the new North West Treatment Hub. The hub will create a more efficient, integrated wastewater system to support growth in the area and help keep local waterways clean.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support on the mechanical aspects of the project.
  • Undertake design and constructability reviews.
  • Develop and review cut-in and shutdown procedures.
  • Develop and review work procedures.
  • Create and execute commissioning and detailed inspection plans.
  • Work in partnership with the project team to provide oversight and technical support for the delivery of delegated projects.
  • Plan and coordinate construction schedules.
  • Cost forecasting and preparation of reports.
  • Select and manage subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Implement quality assurance processes and maintain control standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in both Mechanical and Civil Engineering.
  • Experience with Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant projects.
  • Extensive experience as a Project Engineer within the construction sector.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Proficient in MS Project.
  • Dedication to fostering a high-performance culture.
