">We are transforming the industry with innovative AI-driven solutions that enhance claims management, improve outcomes, and streamline processes. As we expand our Technology team, we are seeking an experienced Cyber Operations Lead to oversee and elevate our frontline cyber defence capabilities.
">As a senior security leader, you will lead a high-performing team, respond to threats in real-time, and play a critical role in protecting our systems, data, and reputation. This will be a permanent, full-time position based in our Sydney CBD office, with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days.
">Responsibilities:
">- Lead and coach a Cyber Operations team, driving a strong culture of ownership, collaboration, and learning.
- Oversee real-time monitoring, analysis, and incident response using tools like SIEM and EDR.
- Manage the vulnerability program, including scanning, risk assessment, and remediation tracking.
- Partner with DevOps and Infrastructure to embed secure configurations and uplift hardening standards.
- Drive automation and process improvements to boost threat response and operational efficiency.
- Keep incident documentation sharp, and share insights and trends with key stakeholders.
Requirements:
">You must have 5+ years' experience in cyber security operations, ideally in a regulated or financial services environment. You should have strong hands-on skills with security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, vulnerability management platforms) and a solid understanding of cloud security, Zero Trust principles, and modern cyber defence strategies.
">As a proactive, calm leader, you must be able to build trust and communicate clearly under pressure. Experience with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell) to improve workflows is also desirable.
